First I hab some Problems with an arrow, but my brother fixed it easyly.
This weekend I brought (I was one of the people who worked at the gamesroom) the pads to the connichi (germanys largest manga and anime convention). Both pads of mine survived it. There were really good people from austrie or the communitiy "Vierpfeile" which played DDR Songs with 8 till 10 feet. The pad had no importent problems. The only thing it had was that the metal of the arrows was bowed very often when the 10 feet people played. But such bowed arrows would be easy to repair. (Posted on 21/09/2009)
- A few years ago, I got myself a TX 4000. Review by Maximilian Hausmann

So I bought yet another TX 4000 and I was surprised by the "changes" happened with the TX 4000. It semed to be a whole different dance pad than I knew before.
I bought it for me and my girlfriend, we always wanted to try out the double mode.
So when I realitzed that myy first TX 4000 was the same like this model, the TX 4500, I gave it back and asked for a change.
Thanks to Peters great and awesome work, it all worked out and I got my TX 4500 v.2.
And I must say this pad is worth every cent.
With it's lowered arrows, you always know where you are.
I am a player never using a handle bar, so I don't really miss it.
But it really depends on your own gaming style.
As an example, my brother plays in a different way. He "slides" over the panels by using the handle bar. Therefore, a pad with lowered arrows would be bad for his style.
In my oppinion, this is the best dance pad I can possibily imagine and I am glad Futuremax still offers this great piece of architecture.
This really is the follow up fof the TX 4000 v.2.
So if anyone out there too has the TX 4000 v.2-model, be sure to get this one, cuz the TX 4000 (the actual version) has no recessed/lowered arrows. You can say it plays exactly like the old TX 6000, only without a handle bar.
I LOVE this dance pad.
Thanks again for offering me that pad!
Rating: 6 of five possivble points! ;-)
ps: I got my TX 4000 v.2 a few years now and it's still in perfect condition, even though we play a few hours a day on a high level.
So I suppose the TX 4500 will last that long, too.
It's some kind of a long life-buy. ;-)

However, after aprox 6 month the pad's cabling broke, requiring some soldering from my part.
At the same time some of the pads needed re-bending, since they did not flex back to their original position any more :O(
For the price being, i am a bit disapointed about the overall quality.
I was planning to order 2 more for some fancy installation ("built into" the floor in my living room), but am not sure anymore regarding this model.
Spare parts for the TX-4500 is missing?!! This needs to be adressed, i need new arrows for my existing pad.

Metal arrows can bend and push continuously the button.
In this case you just have to put a slime part of polystyrene under the metal arrow and it will be ok. (Posted on 05/01/2007)
